ADV: #WinTheDay with #100PLUS!

♡ ❤  D A N C E   F R E A K ❤

♡ ❤ R A V E   K A K I ❤

♡ ❤ P A R T Y   P R I N C E S S ❤

Those are all the terms my close friends refer me as. Don't get me wrong, I'm no clubbing junkie! (though it'll be cool to be known as one HAHAHA)! Since I do have some background in dance during my school days - gymnastics and cheerleading - I am no stranger when it comes to dance or body movements.

On an unrelated note, DanceDanceRevolution Pocket Edition is now available for your iPhone or iPod Touch!
Check it out at

So why are we on the topic on dance again? Well aside from my passion for it, I actually find dancing really good for the soul.

Recently I stumbled upon 100PLUS Malaysia's Facebook Page and saw something similar to Dance Dance Revolution!

So I found out that this was an interactive machine created by 100PLUS, which is able to detect human body motions! I'm very impressed that 100PLUS has created a technology which incorporates dancing as part of their on-ground activity program because as we all know, dancing is another form of healthy exercise!

From my personal experience, well....

1. Dancing relieves stress!

People naturally feel better after having a good sweat after dancing because your body releases chemicals called endorphins (happy hormones!). So go grab your pals and dance your heart out whenever you're feeling down because dancing is known to be a stress-reliever!

2. Dancing helps you be more aware of your body, improving your posture and balance.

Participating in dance can help increase your self esteem and confidence through mastering new skills. At the end of all those dance classes, who knows perhaps you may discover a hidden talent! It offers a creative outlet for people to express their personalities in a safe environment.

3. Dancing can help you meet new people and make friends with people who have similar interests.
Dance can offer insight into other cultures, either through the dance style itself or meeting new people.

4. And not forgeting the most IMPORTANT POINT - it burns CALORIES!
Dancing keeps both the body and the brain active, vital for people of every age! It offers a way to improve strength and flexibility, which helps keeps muscles and joints healthy!

So now that I have captured your attention,

And the best part,
(Unless you don't consider your efforts as free?)

Because I know I am ;)

To commemorate 100PLUS’ 30-year legacy in Malaysia, F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd has launched the 100PLUS ‘Win the Day’ campaign featuring the first interactive vending machine in Malaysia. The interactive vending machines have been and will be placed in selected spots around Malaysia such as shopping malls and colleges where anyone is welcome to try out the ‘Release the Can’ game.

The participant will just need to log on to their Facebook account via the machine and play the game. To win, they need to guide the virtual 100PLUS can through the machine by tilting their body left, right or jumping to control the movement of the virtual can and upon completing the game, a real can of 100PLUS will be dispensed as a reward for their efforts. It is that simple!

Look at how these people interact with the vending machine! All you have to do is to tilt your body... no complicated dance moves involved!

The 100PLUS ‘Release the Can’ interactive vending machines will be at these locations on these dates:

16 & 17 Nov
Sungei Wang (Coach Parking)
23 & 24 Nov
E-Curve & KL Sentral
27 Nov
Taylor’s Lakeside
28 Nov

I'm really looking forward to try out this one-of-a-kind machine! Thinking of visiting one of these road shows soon, perhaps we'll bump into each other there? =D

SPECIAL GUEST POST: Wine, Dine & Party in KL! by Marta Velez

Wednesday, 27 November 2013

This post is a little more special because we have a guest blogger with us today! Marta approached me to do a guest blogpost on my blog and I thought, "Why not!" So yes, please leave your feedback here if you find this post particularly entertaining :)

Dinner and going out? I will tell you where!

By Marta Velez

What do you usually do in a weekend in the city? I love weekends in the city where I go to the park, go shopping or just sleep but my favourite thing about weekends is definitely get the chance to be with a nice group of friends, go for a nice dinner and from time to time (say every week!!) enjoy nice music in a club.

I am an expat here in Kuala Lumpur and one of the things that most surprised me about the city was exactly the, let’s say, social scene. So many good restaurants in Malaysia (both local and western) so many good bars and clubs.

So let’s imagine, if today was Friday night where would I go?

Credit: Time Out KL
15 Jalan Mesui, Off Jalan Nagasari, KL (03 2110 1289). Daily, 10am-12midnight.

This restaurant offers a good variety of Asian food. With a Malacca inspired decoration (you are pretty much inside a Malaccan shop) the venue is trendy, intimate and unique. The food is definitely underpriced: while they serve a really competent curry chicken the star here is without a doubt the grilled fish. Usually I and my friends do it “jalan alor style” ordering a number of different dishes and sharing between each other. I feel that every time I go there I get an amazing tasting experience.

If you are looking for a chilled night this is also a good option to prolong the chatting after dinner over a beer or two!

Olive Tree
Menara Hap Seng G-05 Jalan P Ramlee, 50540 Kuala Lumpur (+60 3-2031 7887)

I have to say that indian food back in Europe is different, less spicy and tasty and they commit the sin of not having naan bread (I could live only with naan). I found Olive Tree with some indian friends that wanted to show me nice Indian cuisine (this is typically northern India) and this was a pleasant surprise.

You can choose in the menu or get the buffet option and in here the buffet compensates: they bring you hot different types of naan to the table (big plus) and you have from vegetarian to tandoori chicken, passing by salads, vegetables and dessert. The food is amazing! Heavenly tasteful! The venue is interesting although it is inside a shopping mall it is able to maintain a distinct look and uniqueness. And they play indian music nonstop! And after dinner you want to go for a beer? Or maybe dancing?

Pisco Bar
29, Jalan Mesui, Off Jalan Nagasari, KL (+603 2142 2900)
Open daily except on Mondays

Also located in Jalan Mesui it enjoys an amazing central location (two streets down from Changkat) but it manages to “run” from an overcrowded area/environment. Pisco is good for everything: in the first floor you can enjoy good music, grab a beer or a glass of wine and relax with your friends while in the second floor you can enjoy good music (from the cure to daft punk) and dance your shoes off till 3 a.m. Pisco is definitely one of my favorites in Kuala Lumpur!

113 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur (+60 3-2171 1997)

If you really like dancing this is your place! I tried a lot of different clubs in Kuala Lumpur but I couldn’t find one that topped Zouk. With different rooms, different environments, different people and music you can never get bored here. Personally I think that 5 a.m. is too early for Zouk to close! The music is mainly electronic and commercial basically it does its job. One good thing if you happen to be foreign: foreign people don’t pay entrance fee till 1 a.m.!

Dress up, get some pre-drinks and prepare to go crazy!

There are a lot of other cool places in Kuala Lumpur and I could go on and on about this topic but these are definitely my usual spots! Hope to see you partying soon.

Marta is an expat in Kuala Lumpur working for an european company. This is her first time in Asia and she is loving it. She loves asian food, culture and weather and she plans to travel around.

PARTY! Club Asahi Moscow

Monday, 18 November 2013

I'm so stoked! Club Asahi returns with its second instalment party this year with Club Asahi Moscow!

I was privileged enough to be one of the lucky bloggers to attend the first all-expense-paid trip to Penang earlier in June this year, thus I was really looking forward towards the second round! This time Club Asahi Moscow brings the party to PJ's newly opened club - The Roof - which had really good online reviews by local party goers. Since I missed The Roof's opening weekend the week before, I thought I'd experience The Roof in a totally rad Asahi manner, with free flow of juice all night long!

Club Asahi flew in Swanky Tunes all the way from Moscow to Malaysia to live up to its event's theme:
M O S C O W !!!!

DJ Stanislav & DJ Vadim of Swanky Tunes!

There were footages of the first Club Asahi Miami (flashbacks of Penang!!!) being aired throughout the whole night behind the DJ set!

Olaa sexy jailbird!

Let's move on to P A R T Y  P I C T U R E S!
