After walking through with you in my double eyelid stitching surgery blog post, here's some progress shots that you may find useful to your expectations (if you are going for double eyelid surgery soon!)
Day 2 - Sept 8
(Next day after surgery)
Mask Slim launch - I was actually brave enough to go public with my bruised eyes.
The cover up?
Dye your hair in a drastic colour before meeting your friends and wear glasses to protect the eyes (and vanity reasons)!!!! Plenty of fellow blogger friends didn't recognize me at first glance!
Double eyelids, it's such an Asian thing that it is no longer taboo when you mention it. About 10 years ago, everything was super hush-hush that not many will admit to going under the knife but fast forward today, everyone that has gone through it are willing to share their story (especially bloggers!). So let's cut to the chase and let's get into details of how my surgery went!
Reader Discretion:
This post may contain gory pics of the surgery, so view at your own discretion!
I'm back with progress shots for my recent face slimming treatment with BTL EXILIS Elite. If you have missed the post, you can read it here.
Personally, I did not felt any pain or whatsoever, only a little heat from the machine, just like having a hot stone massage on my face. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot of this treatment as it is a non-invasive one after all. I look into the mirror everyday and I don't see noticeable differences.
༼⊙_⊙༽
However, after looking through my week to week pictures, I have seen
IMPROVEMENT!
✧*。٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و。*✧
YASSSSSSS!
Without further ado, let's get on to the fun part - progress pictures!
The day after treatment, face is slightly swollen - especially at the cheeks area.
Gives the appearance of chub chub cheeks.
(・_・ヾ
Called up my consultant to check whether it's a normal occurance post-treatment. She assured me that it is normal for some patients to experience minor swelling.
Swelling has improved. Seeing more prominent cheekbones here.
(ʃƪ・∀・)
Week 3
Pic Taken: Facial @ Aster Spring (Left), Bollywood Pro Meet & Greet with Rani Birring (Right)
When bare-faced (left pic), it gives the illusion that I am chubbier compared to when with make up (right pic). However, cheekbones are still visible and less meaty cheeks.
(•ᵕᴗᵕ•)⁾⁾
Week 4
Pic Taken: At home after a long day out
Cheekbones becoming prominent and I'm finally seeing that V-shape jawline!
·◌̊ˈ*(⁰̶̶̷ ˙̮ ⁰̴̷̷๑ॢ॓).°◌̊
4 Weeks Progress
Here's a picture collage I put together to see my treatment progress!
Note at this time I did not change my diet or gym schedule. Fitness and meals remain the same to see effectiveness of the treatment.
And most importantly, no photo editing took place in these photos. The face smoothing effect is a beauty effect from my trusty Casio ZR3500.
And a full body shot to see my face proportion with my overall body.
Though this progress shots are the results of only ONE SINGLE TREATMENT, I would say it does the job well! Patients are usually advised to undergo at least 2 treatment before they begin to see difference, but judging from my pictures, I'm pretty happy with how things worked out for me! It only took so little effort to achieve FAST & VISIBLE RESULTS.
So if you have tried so many ointments, creams and such, maybe it's time to think about non-invasive procedures? Well, I'm not saying everyone should go for it, but if it makes you HAPPY and boost your confidence, why not? Do your research, talk to consultants, find out whether it will meet your expectations. Rest assured this procedure is VERY SAFE, it really just feels like a facial massage, for me at least. (Paying for this procedure will definitely yield more results than going for normal monthly facials too see sharper facial features!)
I also have attended my second EXILIS Elite treatment, you can also follow me on Instagram @GraceMyu to see day-to-day progress for yourself :)
EXILIS Elite can be used on both face and body for slimming and rejuvenation purposes. I did mine at KO Skin Specialist, Klang.
PRICE: RM1,800 for 1 session / RM4,500 for 4 sessions
for hooking me up with such an awesome face slimming option!

Private event at IDO's Clinic, SetiaWalk Puchong few weeks ago with famed celebs and bloggers!

A few weeks ago in the beginning of June, I attended a private event organized by IDO's Clinic.
At first I was a bit little skeptical what this event is all about since it is only opened to a few invited bloggers and local celebs. There wasn't any program listed down and honestly, I was a little lazy to attend an event all the way in Puchong hehs.
But I'm glad I did!!! Because......
.....they decided to sponsor me for any treatment I wish to do!!!!

I GOT MY SECOND SPONSOR
FOR AESTHETICS TREATMENT!!!
*feelingsoblessed*
So I scheduled an appointment at their Kota Damansara branch not long after that, discussing the possibilities of types of procedures to be done, since I recently got my dermal fillers on my eyes and lips!
The Kota Damansara branch, I would say is perhaps slightly smaller than the one located in Setiawalk Puchong (since the one in Puchong is newly opened!) and their Marketing team is based in KD most of the time. Above in the picture is my doctor, Dr Gan Khai Yang & Cherlyn Lim (Marketing Manager of IDO's).
I decided to get some fillers done on my nose bridge since I realized that my nose bridge is kinda flat in pictures. I don't have a major major problem with my nose, but since the last time my previous doctor did ask me why not consider putting fillers into my nose, I think it made me realize that it could be a problem
( ;´Д`)
Now, you may think... whoa Grace.... you recently did your eye bags... and now your nose?!
WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!?!!?!?
I admit, I was strongly AGAINST any type of vanity procedure until... well... I turned 26.
I guess with age, it makes me realize that I can't turn back time and my body is slowly deteriorating, whether I like it or not. (woeisme)
Of course, I now eat healthily and even workout more regularly compared to two years ago, but I cannot change the fact that my skin and body resistance to pollutions and other harsh chemicals is decreasing. Plus, at 26 I think I have reached a point where I can tell myself I'm over the puberty phase completely and my face and body appearance cannot change much anymore thus it's okay for me to optimize the way I look with the help of external help.
I want to be able to mingle around with young 20-year-olds and people still think I'm lying about my age when I say I'm 26 (I get this a lot up until today lol, not trying to brag or anything, because my new acquaintances always guess my age to be around 21-23 ish). I can even quote names to prove my point! (´┏・┓`)
Call me a hypocrite, vainpot or whatever, I don't really care. As long as I'm happy with myself and my loved ones accept who I am, that's all that matters!
☆⌒(*^∇゜)v
Now back to the aesthetic clinic....
That's me over there kepohchi, pretending to be all occupied while waiting for my turn to be served.
The environment of the clinic is pretty professional-looking and very relaxed. There are award plates mounted on the wall of the waiting lounge and magazines to keep you busy.
The waiting rooms are made of glass doors with interesting artwork on the frosting that allows a little privacy between consultant and patient.
Treatment rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV for your entertainment pleasure while you get your procedures done. Huge mirrors mounted on the whole wall for your vanity needs. There is also a mini fridge and coffee maker at the pantry area within the same room!!
So here's a picture of me with my BEFORE NOSE.
Nothing majorly wrong with it, I just wanted to pull my nose bridge up higher.
The nurse begins placing numbing cream from the tip to the bridge. I specifically requested her to cover all areas so that I do not need to endure any unnecessary pain lololol. I was kinda anxious because... hello! It's the nose we're talking about!! It's like either a make or break thing.
This is the brand of the filler we're gonna use. Dr Gan explained that this is slightly harder than the ones used for eye bags and lips because the nose requires a more firm filler so that it doesn't move around so much (no MJ nose for me please!).
Dr Gan reassuring me of the procedure that we're about to do. He told me basically I just to avoid facials for the time being. Other than that, I need to sleep facing straight up if possible for the night and not lean on my face, for obvious reasons!
Me trying to act all chilled (but inside my stomach there were a million butterfliessss!)
The doctor fills in the fillers in stages. Inject-reshape nose fillers-repeat.
It took about 20 minutes, I think, to get the bridge that I want.
Then it's time to see the my reflection.
I guess that huge smile explains everything!
Also on the same day, I brought up the topic of my scarred right thigh - I got it from a nasty dog bite around two years ago near my birthday
(。_+)\
Dr Gan told me that he is opting triamcinolone injection (steroid) to flatten my keloid scar, but as for the discolouration, he would need to figure something out for that (if we were not opting for those major surgery). There will be no time down time and perhaps only minimally invasive.
The scar has always been an ugly sight whenever I'm in shorts or short minis. It certainly would be nice if it would go away completely.
After a few hours when I reached home, the area that was injected became swollen visibly but there wasn't any change in colour or outlook of the keloid scar. Dr Gan informed that it will take approximately 4 to 8 weeks for results to be visible, so just hang on and I will update from time to time!
JENG JENG JENG!!!!!
This is the Before and After for my nose fillers.
Look closely at the bridge ---
Minor changes as you can tell, the fillers will be done in stages and not all in one day because the fillers need time to sink in and be moulded into the desired shape. If the whole quota is used in one day, then your nose shape would not be at its best.
So I did...
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Injection for Nose Augmentation
Hyaluronic acid therapy is becoming a popular choice as a temporary filler for facial augmentation. It is a safe, non-surgical procedure that conveniently softens facial lines and furrows.
Tiny quantities of hyaluronic acid are injected through very fine needles, boosting the skin's own hyaluronic acid. Depending on how many lines are treated, the treatment takes 20 minutes to an hour, with minimal discomfort (especially with products that contain local anaesthetic agents).
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found in all living organisms. High concentrations are found in soft connective tissue and in the fluid surrounding the eye. It is also present in some cartilage and joint fluids, and in skin tissue.
In skin tissue, hyaluronic acid is a jelly-like substance that fills the space between collagen and elastin fibres. The role of hyaluronic acid in skin is to -
Provide a mechanism of transport of essential nutrients from the bloodstream to living skin cells
Hydrate the skin by holding in water
Act as a cushioning and lubricating agent against mechanical and chemical damage.
How is hyaluronic acid treatment given?
Treatments are carried out at a medical centre by a trained doctor or supervised nurse.
Procedures
Deep cleansing on treated area.
The treatment area is wiped with an antiseptic.
Local anaesthetic used to numb the treatment area.
Injection method used to deliver dermal fillers.
Depending on the area treated, the skin may be lightly massaged.
Instantly noticeable results.
I shall be visiting the clinic again to follow up and touch up my fillers so stay tuned here as I will be updating regularly on it!

This will be my third journal entry log for Klinik Mediviron Wisma UOA II. This time, I returned 12 May 2014 (6 days after my last visit) for a follow up checkup and any necessary touch-up to make sure my eye bag problem is resolved properly :)
Upon reaching the clinic, I quickly told the nurse to slap on some numbing cream for me, just in case there will be more injections and what-nots. Then after about 30 minutes, the doctor took a look at my face and told me my eyes look so much better than when it was first injected *HURRAY* so no additional filler is required, however she will just add on some BOTOX, to make my eyes look more balanced.
This round, I brought my Vivi mag around with me so that I won't think so much about the needles.
WHAT IS BOTOX?
Commonly used to improve the look of frown lines (glabellar lines) between the brows, crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes, forehead lines, laughter lines, to erase ‘bunny lines’ on the side of the nose and to give a slight lift to a drooping nose. This treatment involves a type of Botulinum toxin type A being injected directly into the muscles between the brows or other areas being treated.
BOTOX has been used since 1980 to treat a number of muscle disorders and can also be used to treat migraine and excessive sweating. It is a simple, non-surgical treatment that works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles and this reduces muscle activity that causes lines and wrinkles to form, allowing the overlying skin to appear smooth and line free.
RESULTS:
The appearance of frown lines and other treated areas will be dramatically improved within three to five days of treatment. The skin will appear smoother and unlined whilst untreated facial muscles work as usual to allow the normal facial expression to be unaffected by the treatment.
RECOVERY TIME:
Some minimal bruising may be experienced following treatment but side effects are rare. Occasionally temporary numbness or a mild headache may be experienced although muscle relaxing injections are used to successfully treat migraine in some patients. In less than 1% of patients a temporary drop of the brow or eyelid may occur.
HOW OFTEN:
The effects can last three to four months and then repeat injections will be needed to maintain the effects. After several treatments, the effects will begin to last longer and repeat treatments may only be required every six months. At Mediviron UOA Aesthetic Clinic we take a ‘less is more’ approach and to avoid a frozen forehead we always see patients two weeks following the initial treatment to check the results and top-up if required.
And another follow up appointment is made for the following two weeks to ensure I look ok (I LOVE HOW THIS CLINIC TAKES CARE OF ME! Especially with the after-service treatment!)
I actually think this clinic is very busy even on weekdays because I see a lot of office ladies and even foreigners(!!!) going in and out of this clinic. So make sure if you are really serious on getting an appointment, do come on time so that there will not be any delay for you because the clinic here is so so so popular!
This is the AFTER BOTOX picture.
Thank you Joan once again for being the accommodating blogger relation person in charge! ;)
In short, I felt the needle going into near my eye (eeeekkkksss!) but NO PAIN was involved. It just felt a bit weird because there is something GOING INSIDE NEAR MY EYES but there is nothing I can do about it lol. I can't seem to talk straight while the needle in inside my face lololol! Because I kept stressing about feeling pain but I don't feel any (slapmealready).
It was a pleasant experience because all the nurses present are majority females (I super feel at ease because girls tend to understand girls bodies better). They are always plastered with a cute smile and always helpful to make the experience a smooth and joyful one!
I always walk out of the clinic feeling a bit more beautiful about myself! Thank you Klinik Mediviron Wisma UOA II for making this a super good experience for me! :)

I've been wanting to share this post with you girls for quite sometime but I was busy the whole of last week with so many events - my birthday, the THRIFTaholic Bazaar, and other blogger workshops in between! So the long awaited "aesthetic beauty procedure" post is FINALLY HEREEE!!!
First things first, I would like to take the time to MEDIVIRON UOA for generously offering ME to join this Media Review Program!!!! *loveyouguyslongtime*
PLEASE TAKE NOTE that this simple beauty procedure is
NOT EQUIVALENT WITH SURGERY!!!
NO NONO!!!!
Let me clarify that this procedure is
NOTHING MAJOR.
This is the MAIN REASON why I agreed to it in the first place.
So if you're gonna start judging me and say "Oh Grace has succumbed to the pressure of having plastic surgery!", let me show you the "X" button on the TOP OF THIS WINDOW and show yourself out. If you are not going to read this with an open heart and mind, your reading ends here.
Thank you very much.

So I was saying, I wanna take the time to thank the staff of Mediviron UOA for being a great sport! FYI, this treatment is worth about RMX,XXX. That's why I'm so thankful for this :)
Thank you Ms Joan for being the most accommodating person ever! *heart*
This is me BEFORE the treatment, see those eye bags starring back?rawr
So today, I'm going to share with you what
DERMAL FILLERS
is all about.
This is a simple procedure recommended to me to treat my ever burgeoning SUPERSHOPPINGEYEBAGS problem.
Injectable dermal fillers, also known as hyaluronic acid fillers, are one of the most popular facial rejuvenation treatments that we offer and are a highly effective anti-ageing treatment with instant results and virtually no down time.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the body and helps to create volume beneath facial skin, along with collagen, elastin and fat cells. As we aged, our natural reserves of hyaluronic acid break down but dermal fillers can be used to restore the lost volume in the face, to smooth and to reduce wrinkles and lines, and to create plumper lips. The effects of just a small touch of additional volume provided by hyaluronic acid fillers can make quite a dramatic difference to your appearance, leaving you a fresher and younger look.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be used as a standalone treatment or in combination with other procedures such as BOTOX injections and laser resurfacing to produce the effects of a non-surgical facelift.
RECOMMENDED FOR
This procedure is suitable for all skin types. No allergy testing is required, as hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring it is safe to use on anyone.
HOW OFTEN?
The effects of hyaluronic acid fillers can last in excess of a year, although the longevity of results varies from patient to patient. The body will eventually break down and absorb the hyaluronic acid over time and without leaving a trace. It’s important to remember that the treatment is not permanent so there’s no risk of being stuck with a look you may not be happy with in years to come.
RECOVERY TIME? No down time, most people are able to return straight to work after treatment. Some redness, minor swelling or bruising may be experienced in the treatment area but is easily hidden with mineral make-up.
And so the treatment begins by placing numbing cream underneath my eyes. I was told to wait for about 30-45 minutes for the effect to kick in. The numbing cream leaves a cooling sensation, no weird scent at all! Basically the waiting time can be quite long, so remember to bring a book or game console to occupy yourself!
Scroll down through the pics and see the numbing cream slowly disappear!
(Yes I was bored waiting so what else can a vainpot do! #letmetakesuperbanyakselfies #dontvomit #janganmuntah)
Oooooh, thank GOD Mediviron UOA serves coffee!!!!!!!!!
Life saver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok wait taime is over, last selfie then it's NEEDLE TIME! *screamsrunaway*
The doctor first wipes away excess numbing cream and then proceeds to mark the spot for the needle to enter. I AM NOT GONNA EDIT THE PHOTOS BELOW TO LET YOU SEE MY REAL FACE FOR YOUR COMPARISON!
WARNING:
SUPER
GRAPHIC
PICTURES
AHEAD!!!!!
SCROLL DOWN QUICKLY IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF NEEDLES!!!!
Looks painful ain't it?
But I can confirm you....
IT IS NOT PAINFUL AT ALL!!!
I kid you not.
All thanks to the numbing cream.
Even after the numbing cream effect wears off, there is only a tingling sensation that lasts only a few hours then I can put on my makeup as usual.
So after the procedure is done, my doctor told me that unlike most patients, I have a special condition -
I CANNOT SMILE FOR THE COMING WEEK.
FML. My birthday was the very next day (I did this procedure on 6 May 2014)
and I'm not allowed to smile?!?!!?! D:
I'm a person who easily laughs and smile a lot for the silliest of things and I'm refrained for doing so for the next few days, at least!
Because apparently my *new fillers* will move around (gasp!) whenever I smile as it hasn't really settled into shape, just yet.
I was told I cannot have any alcohol,
(WHAT IS A BIRTHDAY PARTY WITHOUT ALCOHOL FML AGAIN)
or any facial treatment until everything settles in.
Despite all the "pantang-larangs", you can however see a noticeable difference on my face!!! :DD
I SWEAR NO PHOTOSHOP.
This is taken by my Casio ZR1000 camera with some skin smoothing effect.
So this is my try-hard-not-to-smile-in-the-end-I-look-silly face with my young lovely doctor!
She imitated my arms and legs pose for this photo
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!
The doctor is very friendly and accommodating towards me. I asked quite a few silly questions and she always answered me with a smile :) The front desk staff are quite helpful too, offering to sip (more) coffee and helpful in directions to the washroom/food court. Overall, my experience was nothing short of splendid ;)
Keen to find out more about this procedure?
Or any other beauty concerns?
Feel free to call up for a consultation session!
Stay tuned for my next post on my third visit for follow-up
(and perhaps touch-ups) procedures and what-nots!
Side note: If you are gonna do this procedure, do it at least a month or two before any huge events (esp those that involves alcohol!) so you will look at your optimum state :)
