Reducing Chin Wrinkles with Botox at Beverly Bangsar Clinic

By Grace Myu - August 03, 2022

Botox for Dimpled Chin 💉 is something I’ve been meaning to do as I’m not able to control my facial expressions, especially in the chin area. I seem to engage in those muscles even when I'm idle.

Chin dimpling is also commonly referred to as an “orange peel” or “golf ball” chin. It is usually caused by repeated contractions of the mentalis, which is the chin muscle. Over time, these contractions leave lots of thin or cross-hatched lines across the surface of the chin.

The consultation session was fairly quick with Dr Jinly @drjinlywong at Beverly Bangsar Clinic. She explained that my face structure looks good overall (yay) - it's just that my chin dimples kept appearing whenever I am in a relaxed mode. This can become worse over time, if not treated. Other than this, my forehead and smile lines are fairly ok, and I don't have other concerns when it comes to wrinkling (I attribute this to good lifestyle habits + regular skincare).

The botox brand that was used is the originaBOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA) by Allergan Aesthetics - there are several brands in the market, you can check with your doctor.

After consultation, the actual treatment is really fast! I got mine done under 5 minutes because I skip numbing cream - which saved me additional 15 mins (you can skip this too if you have a high pain tolerance).

See the "silver bullet" there? It's actually a mini vibrator that helps distract from the pain.

Look what a major difference it makes! The results can be seen instantly in the "After" pic. I enjoy pouting in my pics (please don't judge!) so this was really a game changer for my selfie pics 🤳

In general, Botox results last for three to four months. However, longevity-wise it varies between individuals, based on metabolism and lifestyle habits.

I always know I'm in good hands when Dr Jinly is in charge! She brings me through every step of the process so that we are constantly communicating even when my eyes are closed and unable to speak during in-treatment. It's the little things like this that count for me.

Btw, Beverly Bangsar Clinic has a vanity room with makeup tools for touch-ups! I always like taking my time inside here after my treatment is done.

For more info, please reach out to the clinic directly as they would be able to advise you in detail.
Do remember to mention I sent you there so that you can get extra special attention from them
